PAINTING STYLE

I work in a Painterly Realism which allows for the beauty of loose brush strokes in a realistic framework. I prefer subjects that capture light & mood with specific focal elements such as an up close composition of the bride & groom, rather than a broadly depicted wedding scene. This creates a truely Expressionistic work of Art that will be treasured for the beauty of the piece as well as the memory of the day.

FAQs

What does a live event painter do?

I will arrive at your venue about an hour before the event, get set up, take photos, study your face, style and setting and develop a couple composition sketches. I will set up to paint in a position that is advantageous for myself and your guests, and does not interfere with other vendors or activities. During the ceremony and throughout the reception I will begin working from both the live view of the Event and any pictures that are helpful in the process. I may move my easel during the evening as needed and I will position myself so that guests can view the painting and/ or sketches in progress! Once a painting is completed I will set it on a display easel for guests to view and enjoy.

Will you paint for me if I live in another state, or want a Destination Wedding?

We service Destination Events! Contact us for pricing on an individual basis for a bid that includes accommodations and travel for myself and an assistant.

What Media do you use?

Our Artworks are completed on acid free Gallery wrap canvases using archival, lightfast Acrylic Paints for the highest quality permanent, Works of Art.

Shipping

Yes. I use the best provider to wrap, protect, and ship your paintings. Shipping prices start at $150.

Can you paint for me from a photo after my wedding or Event has already taken place?

Certainly! Prices start at $275 for an 11″x14.” + Shipping. This also makes a nice wedding gift for a friend or relative!
